In 1775 at St. John’s Church in Richmond, VA about 120 delegates gathered together to discuss their viewpoints about Great Britain. Among the delegates were Thomas Jefferson, George Washing and Patrick Henry. It was in that meeting Patrick Henry delivered his speech, “Give me liberty or give me death.” Jesus spoke about freedom too, but He claimed no one would be free unless the Son made them free. Jesus offers more than just temporal freedoms enjoyed in the USA; He offers eternal freedom!
