Recently I found Dad’s favorite sayings on a coffee mug. They are: “1) Because I said so. 2) Money doesn’t grow on trees. 3) You’re grounded till vou’re thirty. 4) Don’t make me stop this car! 5) It builds character. 6) You don’t know what hard work is. 7) Were you raised in a barn? 8) Go ask your mother. 9) A little bit of dirt never hurt anyone. 10) When I was your age…” We often think of Moses as a leader, redeemer, deliverer, and lawgiver. Each of these attributes are important, but we often overlook that he was a father. According to 1 Chronicles 23:14-15, Moses had two sons, Gershom (“sojourner there”) and Eliezer (“my God is helper”), who were counted as part of Levi, the priestly tribe dedicated to the responsibilities of worship in the tabernacle. On this Father’s Day, the life of Moses reminds us all to have faith in action!
I cycled across America in 30 days and wrote a book about it! Check it out: https://www.amazon.com/Coast-Spiritual-Lessons-Bicycle-Seat/dp/1683147766
